Alex (as Sitka Scientific) has been hard at work on the hardware install including splitting the lasers to feed 2P1 and 2P2.
He will put a summary/ a few pictures of the new arrangement on a separate hardware page
Greg started install on Stephen Williams old computer. Unfortunately permanent PC did not show up in time.
Patched INT and EXT triggers as described here on BNC-2110. Connected LASER SHUTTER OUT to USER 2 after patching P0.2 → USER 2. Have not changed shutter control cube to external control mode yet, but output goes high when Focussing in ScanImage.
Decided to go with ScanImage 3.8rc1 + NIDAQMx 9.3 + Matlab 2011b

When scanning with same params as 2P1, mirrors are making a pretty similar noise! Would still be worth checking mirror range and Volts per degree setting
Have wired up PMTs/Amps but not turned them on yet. Amps come set to 10^6 gain whereas they are at 10^5 on 2P1. Would be worth checking PMT noise to look at what we get out of this pair and what kind of PSU ripple we can see.
Notice there seems to be a discrepancy on 2P1 in FS vs GS for A and B inputs.
See 2P1 updates from February 2019.
Installed with Leon's 302 driver. Unipolar positive input (supplied by Igor or Slow Scan Mirror (Y)!). 50Ohm impedance. Found that something went unstable with 500 ms pulses to Pockels. Not observed with 100 ms pulses. This was using S130C to measure. Everything looked very slow on and off so wonder if this is artefact of detection since Pockels should be much faster and readings overshoot 2x baseline. Also tried with Leon's SP407A but that was too slow to make much sense. Problem was the auto-gain setting on the Thor Power meter. For the S310C sensor ther is also the Auto Accelerate function to watch out for. Alex ended up adjusting driver so that it is dark at 0V Cmd and requires a Cmd of about 1.4V to get maximum throughput.
